About this yacht

Launched in 2023 and kept in excellent condition, Bei Sogni is a beautifully equipped Seawind 1600 Passagemaker presented in the desirable owner’s configuration. With only 500 hours on her twin Yanmar diesels and an extensive inventory for offshore cruising, she offers a genuine turnkey opportunity for anyone looking for a capable long-range cruising catamaran.

The Seawind 1600 Passagemaker was designed by renowned naval architects Reichel/Pugh to combine blue-water capability with the comfort and practicality expected from a modern cruising catamaran. Her lightweight composite construction, daggerboards and efficient hull design deliver impressive sailing performance while retaining a remarkably shallow minimum draft of approximately 0.60m.

Owner’s Layout & Accommodation

Bei Sogni benefits from a spacious owner’s arrangement with a private owner’s suite and three-cabin accommodation overall. The owner’s stateroom features a generous island bed, while the remaining cabins provide flexible accommodation for family or guests.

The interior has a bright, contemporary character, combining light oak finishes with walnut flooring and carefully considered storage throughout. A large sliding saloon door connects the interior directly with the cockpit, creating a generous indoor-outdoor living space.

The aft cockpit comfortably accommodates eight around the dining table and is protected by a substantial hardtop bimini. Twin aft helm stations provide excellent visibility and keep the skipper close to the sailing controls, with the boat set up for efficient shorthanded operation.

Performance & Cruising

Power comes from twin 80hp Yanmar 4JH80 diesel engines driving Gori three-blade folding propellers through SD60 saildrives. The engines have approximately 500 hours each.

The combination of daggerboards, lightweight composite construction and a shallow 0.60m draft makes the 1600 particularly versatile. She can cover distance efficiently while also accessing shallow anchorages that are unavailable to many larger cruising yachts.

Fuel capacity is 750 litres, with 658 litres of freshwater capacity, supported by a Schenker ZEN watermaker and a comprehensive 24V electrical system.

Electrical & Systems

Bei Sogni has been equipped for extended periods away from shore power. The electrical system includes two 24V/500Ah LiFePO4 battery banks, a Mastervolt 24V/5000W charger/inverter and an upgraded 1,148W solar array.

Additional equipment includes Velair marine air conditioning, a 40L Quick Nautic boiler and dual 125A alternators.

Navigation & Electronics

The navigation package is based around B&G equipment and includes:

  • 2 x B&G Zeus3S 9” multifunction displays
  • 3 x B&G Triton 2 displays
  • B&G NAC-3 autopilot
  • B&G HD radar
  • B&G AIS
  • B&G V60 DSC-AIS VHF
  • H60 wireless VHF handset
  • B&G Zeus3S GPS
  • Arimar DST 810 depth, speed and temperature transducer

A Fusion MS-RA770 stereo system with four marine speakers and a Samsung 44” Smart TV are also installed.

Galley

The galley is positioned on the bridgedeck to starboard and is equipped for extended cruising, including:

  • Isotherm 130L 24V front-loading refrigerator
  • Isotherm 110L 24V top-loading freezer
  • Bosch three-burner gas stove
  • Miele 230V oven
  • Stainless steel double sink
  • BEP gas alarm and solenoid system
Sail Inventory

The sailing inventory includes a fully battened mainsail and self-tacking headsail, both from 2023. The rig is supported by an aluminium mast and stainless-steel Dyform standing rigging.

Equipment includes a carbon-fibre bowsprit, Harken MKIV Ocean Unit 3 headsail furler, Harken Reflex Unit 3 top-down furler and a combination of manual and electric Harken winches. Antal winches are fitted for the daggerboards.

Deck & Tender

The boat is supplied with a Highfield CL340 aluminium RIB together with Suzuki 20hp and Yamaha 15hp outboards. Manual hoist davits provide straightforward tender handling.

Other equipment includes a stainless-steel charcoal BBQ, hot and cold cockpit/deck shower, aft cockpit enclosure with clear panels, stainless-steel Maxwell 24V windlass and comprehensive ground tackle including a 33kg Rocna anchor and spare Delta anchor.

Summary

With her 2023 build year, owner’s configuration, twin Yanmar 80hp engines, extensive B&G electronics, lithium battery capacity, 1,148W solar array, watermaker and comprehensive cruising inventory, Bei Sogni is exceptionally well suited to serious offshore and liveaboard cruising.

She combines the performance and shallow-water versatility of the Seawind 1600 platform with a high level of equipment already in place, avoiding the long lead time and additional cost normally associated with outfitting a new cruising catamaran.

Can a foreigner buy a boat in Thailand?

Yes. Foreigners can purchase boats in Thailand. However, the ownership and registration structure depends on the vessel, its current flag and how you intend to use it. A Thai company or partner is not automatically required simply to purchase a boat.

If a Thai flag or commercial operation in Thailand is required, additional ownership and regulatory requirements may apply. We can help guide you through the process and connect you with the appropriate local professionals.

Can I arrange an independent survey and sea trial?

Yes. We strongly recommend an independent survey and sea trial for any pre-owned boat.

You can appoint your own surveyor, or we can recommend independent surveyors familiar with boats in Thailand. The buyer normally covers the survey, haul-out and related costs.

If the survey identifies significant issues, these can be discussed with the seller and dealt with according to the agreed Sale & Purchase Agreement.

How does payment work?

Payment terms are agreed in the Sale & Purchase Agreement and normally involve a deposit followed by the balance once the agreed conditions have been met.

Payment is generally made by bank transfer, with USD commonly used for international transactions. Depending on the transaction, funds may be paid through an agreed client or escrow arrangement.

The survey and other agreed conditions are normally completed before the final payment. If significant issues are identified, the parties can agree on repairs, a price adjustment or other solution in accordance with the contract.
